home & away
Home is where your socks are.
At some point during your second week at William & Mary, you're going to be at the IHOP with some hallmates or finishing your first serious late-night study session at Swem and you're going to say it. "Let's go home." You won't be referring to your parents' house in Jacksonville. You'll be talking about Yates, where you and a stranger from Texas (now your second-best friend) share 345 square feet of barely contained chaos. It's amazing how quickly two loft beds, two desks and two dressers can become a home. And how quickly those people who were randomly assigned to be your neighbors can become a community.
It might not seem like a big deal to you, but it's a big deal to us, so much so that 73% of us live on campus all four years.
Come to William & Mary and make yourself at home.
